Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our staff members have spent many years devoted to pursuing excellence in their field and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as instructors and trainers.

Through extensive training, certification and dedication, our staff has attained mastery in their fields and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to our members. Here are a few of The Woolen Mill Health Club's staff members:

Chris Provost, NFPT-CPT  (Manager / Trainer)
Chris is an NFPT certified personal trainer and has been training since 2005. He is an avid hiker and runner, and enjoys being outdoors and getting muddy.

Chris believes that fitness must become habitual in order to be effective. He is a proponent of functional strength training; a chain is only as strong as the weakest link. Exercise should be fun and challenging, but it should also be based around your goals.

Mary Spaulding, NFPT-CPT  (Trainer)
Mary, a native Vermonter, experiences an active life style. She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and playing Rugby. when it comes to training she believes that programs should be client-centered and challenge each person to obtain his/her goals. Functional fitness being at the heart of her wellness philosophy, she strives to find relevant exercises for individuals of every fitness level.

James Hughes, NFPT-CPT  (Trainer)
James specializes in training for athletic competition. With a diverse sports background ranging from hockey to wrestling to rugby, James enjoys training athletes of any level.

Outside of the area of physical competition, the backbone of James’ training sessions is functional fitness. Being able to perform daily activities with enough energy left over for extra-curricular activity is a goal James wants all of his clients to achieve.
